I set off from the Dream Lake trailhead using a headlamp to guide me to the lake in the dark. After arriving at the lake I scouted around to find an interesting foreground subject to include in my composition. During the dramatic alpenglow stage of sunrise I used a ten stop neutral density filter to cut back the light and achieve a longer exposure for a surreal look.
